Okay people I need your help. We don't know the sex of the baby but at this point if the baby was born tomorrow and ended up being a boy he would be nameless. That doesn't go over super well in school during roll call.
Please send me as many boys names as you can think of. We need all the help and ideas we can get.

Sorry, that's all I can think of. I, too, had a hard time with boys names. I'm so glad I had girls or else my boy would have been named Boy Wittenberg.
Good luck, I know whatever you choose will be perfect for him. You just know when you look into their eyes.
Heather,

It has every name you can think of, plus shows it's popularity through the centuries. That way you can pick one that may appeal to you and Hugh. Now, saying that, here's some of the names of boys I know.
Jacob (our boy's name)
Ethan (our second boy's name)
David
Nathan
Daniel
Andrew
Lucas
Noah
Elias
Caleb
Ben
Austin
Elijah
Zach
Sam
Good luck!

Jackson
Isaiah
Theodore (Theo)
Benjamin
Luke
Max
And Liam and Noah are names we have picked. Well, Noah for sure. Jeremy still isn't sold on Liam but I love it!
I always liked the name Eben. It means Rock of Help in Hebrew. A famous Eben is listed on Wikipedia as being Eben Moglen, a professor of law and legal history at Columbia University, and is the founder, Director-Counsel and Chairman of Software Freedom Law Center.
ReplyDeleteEben.
Cute for a boy. Strong for a man.
hmmm... nowhere near this stage in my life but...

Some unique ones I've come across lately at work:

ReplyDeleteSigh i guess i will add my two bits.
ReplyDeletehow about Han.
Nobody is called Han anymore. It's a straight pimping name.
I love the name alfred, but I'm calling dibs on that for the dog i'm going to get. So as long as you're ok with my dog and your son having the same name then you can use alfred.
I really like the name Levi but Trevor won't let me have 2 name brand children!
ReplyDeleteI like Levi too but how could you resist Texas Ranger?! lol!
ReplyDeleteOk, I love Michelle's list. Had a good laugh. I've been thinking about it since we talked in Smithers. I keep thinking about Hughie's middle name. I always loved it and think it would be a great name. Donovan has some great shortenning options as well. I almost named both my boys Justus. You have some good lists from everyone else. Whatever you name this little one will be fantastic.
ReplyDeleteHi! I don't know you, but I know a bunch of your friends! Congrats on your baby... if you haven't had him yet, and are still looking for boys' names, you're welcome to use our sons' names! We have Scott and Todd. Middle names are Steven and Jacob. You mentioned that it wouldn't be fair to start a kid without a name in school, our aim was to give our kids names that not every other kid in school had as well. And so far we have only met one other Scott that is our Scott's age (4) and no other Todds that are our Todd's age (3). I am a teacher, and I always struggled with having 4 of one name in the same class.... so a lot of the names listed are in the top 10, which almost guarantees that there will be more than one of them in your son's class. Just a thought!
ReplyDeletei know you chose a name, but reconcider, i think "mike" is a great name, it works for me.
